Carlos graduated from a career of Aquiculture and Salmon Farming, then decided to switch careers and makes his passion his lifestyle. In 1998 he was hired to become a fishing guide at Termas de Puyuhuapi Hotel & Spa, a renowned place for eco-tourism and fishing, located in the northern part of Aysen region.
Following his second Patagonian adventure, beginning the year 2000, he moved down to the southern part of Aysen, the Baker River valley, where he worked as head guide for the Patagonia Baker...
Lodge's operation for more than 4 years, fishing some of the most beautiful waters in Chile, like Rio Cochrane and Baker.
Then, he finally moved to explore and guide around the heart of Patagonian region, Coyhaique, an amazing area loaded with many waters to fly fish like the Simpson River, Paloma River, MaƱihuales River, etc.
Carlos has also served as guide and technical advisor for numerous international outdoor television programs, and noted in adventure and trade publications such as MundoSur by LanChile for his experience in fishing these waters. And so today, he manages a fly fishing company from Coyhaique town to all over the Aysen region.
Carlos's passion after 12 years of fly fishing pro career and outgoing personality make him a great guide & casting instructor.
